HIIT; NEVER MISS A MONDAY

So the number one silent rule in the fitness industry is… “Never Miss a Monday”!! So here is a quick (but killer) HIIT workout you can do in the lounge room to tick off your Monday sweat sess. Firstly HIIT huh?? HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. If you have heard the buzz surrounding it, you now that it’s a super fast, very effective way to work out. Basically HIIT involves short intense bursts of exercise with less intense moves or complete rest in between. The reason why so many people are loving HIIT at the moment is because it is crazy efficient as you only need to spend 15-30 minutes in the gym whilst still coming out with the same if not more benefits as the usual 1 hour class. When you turn up the intensity on your workout you are making your heart work harding as your heart rate sky rockets. TUNE OUT

Sunday again? The weeks are SERIOUSLY flying past. Nothing like getting to Monday morning after a hugely busy weekend with nothing organised or planned, not to mention any time to just tune out and relax. You only have yourself to thank for the uncomfortable or baggy underwear you will be wearing Monday because you skipped washing day, or the over priced lunch you had to buy because you didn’t have time to do the grocery shop and all you had in the house was peanut butter and tuna tins. SPEAR A HANGOVER

If there is one thing that I truly hate… it is being hungover. I used to be the type of girl who could chug vodka from a bottle (yes i have a dark side buried deep below the surface from my younger years – don’t we all?) and I would NEVER get hungover or be sick the next day. Probably because I regrettably vomited it all out that night, but anyway… and then things changed as I got older and BOOM. Chocolate is just one of those things that makes us happy. FACT! It’s actually scientifically proven too!! OH YOU BETCHA. Chocolate is a very nutritious source of antioxidants which are good for our inner health, skin, brain function and hormones. GURL POWER

To kick off week two of #NutritionalNovember why not start with some girl power preaching. This post seems relevant considering a female jockey, Michelle Payne, won the Melbourne Cup for the first time ever on Tuesday last week and it sure as hell caused a few raised eye brows amongst the gents… but all I can say is GO GURL!!! BRUNCHING IN LONDON

If there is something that is growing as popular as chicks with abs at the moment – it’s BRUNCH!! The saying has been around for ages but the foodie industry and independent cafes have grabbed ‘brunch’ by the reins and taken it to a whole new level. I can’t speak for London because let’s be honest it’s getting colder by the second – BUT with the Aussie summer only JUST around the corner we can’t help but dream of Tash Oakley’s amazing bod and abs!
