THE COLOUR YOU SHOULD WEAR FOR A SUCCESSFUL JOB INTERVIEW… OR DATE

So as I sit here staring out the window trying to gain focus and get my head around my massive to do list regarding GETTING A JOB I procrastinate a little and come across this amazing post by Women’s Health UK about job interviews. Seems appropriate for a read. Instead of trying to compete with their article and write one of my own (I mean who is going to take advice about job interviews from an… um…. unemployed person) I thought I would be better off using them as a feature post for day 11 of Nutritional November on my blog.

So here goes;

THE COLOUR YOU SHOULD WEAR FOR A SUCCESSFUL JOB INTERVIEW AND OR DATE By Francesca Menato 07 September 2015

Dress to impress, it’s a thing. So, are there any secrets for what to wear for a first date or job interview?

According to a recent survey, there’s one colour that comes out comfortably on top for confidence levels and attractiveness.

That colour is black.

In a study, surveying 1,000 people, 48% of women and 64% of men thought black was a colour of confidence.

Not only that, most people also thought it the most attractive colour worn by the opposite sex.

Men and women also both had red and blue as their second and third choices.

Although, it’s worth noting, red was also considered the most arrogant colour around.

So, If black is a recipe for success, what shades should you avoid?

Only 2% of women and 6% of men thought it was a good idea to wear orange on a first date, and just 5% of people were keen on brown, ever. Oh, and only 5% of respondents thought intelligent people would wear pink. Poor pink.

Of course, if you are in the minority and you love colour, that confidence will shine through, but maybe tone it down until you land the job you’ve applied for.
