If there is something that is growing as popular as chicks with abs at the moment – it’s BRUNCH!! The saying has been around for ages but the foodie industry and independent cafes have grabbed ‘brunch’ by the reins and taken it to a whole new level. Out with the separate breakfast and lunch menus and in with smashed avocado and poachies on toast at 2pm. Nice!
So after moving to London I did what every hungry foodie did and researched the best brunch places dishing up smashed avo and smoked salmon and the like and made a hit list. I know my hit list doesn’t benefit any of you Aussies back home but if it reaches one Londoner then i’ll be happy. I have a date tomorrow at Number 1. on the list so seems like I am going to get through these delicious plates of ‘brunch’ before I know it! Can’t say my bank balance agrees.
Here is my ‘brunch’ top 10 hot list for London (in no particular order) with some pretty mouth watering pics below.
- Embassy East – North of Shoreditch
- Sawyer & Gray – Highbury
- Friends of ours, Shoreditch
- Duck & Waffle, 40th floor Heron Tower
- MUD, Tooting
- CREAM, Shoreditch
- Coffee is my cup of tea – Hackney
- Fink’s Salt & Sweet – Arsenal Tube stop
- Raouls, Nottinghill
- Bread & Butter Cafe, Kingsland

Comment if you think I have missed any or whether you have tried any of the above and gone to brunch foodie heaven. Alas it’s Sunday and after looking at these images … I’m off to BRUNCH!!!
