The latest latte trend on social media these days and in health and foodie cafes seems to be the ever stunning Japanese green tea Matcha lattes. They are the perfect low caffeine hot drink for a cold night in or a great morning pick me up alternative to coffee. Packed with antioxidants Matcha lattes do wonders for your energy and metabolism. Make sure you buy 100% Matcha green tea powder. You cannot use DIY ground green tea leaves.

MATCHA GREEN TEA LATTE
Serves 1 – GF DF SF P V – 5 minutes
1 tsp matcha green tea powder
1 tsp stevia Natvia natural sweetener
3/3 cup soy or almond mylk
1/4 cup of hot water (not boiling)
METHOD
In a glass mug whisk the matcha powder and hot water until dissolved. Add the sweetener of your choice – honey, maple, rice malt or stevia.
Heat dairy free mylk alternative on the stove or in a milk frother.
Pour into glass, mix together and enjoy hot.
